Shaheed Hargrove is an Afro Latino comic artist, and illustrator recently graduated from the School of Visual Arts for BFA Comics and is currently based in New York City. An introspective New Yorker with a love for skateboarding, Shaheed creates comics and illustrations that captures the tranquil aesthetics of the Y2K and mid 2000s era that he grew up in.
Aiming to not only hone his skills but also to learn a variety of disciplines in his time at School of Visual Arts, Shaheed specializes in storytelling, character design and art direction for not only comics and illustrations, but also animation through storyboards.
His senior thesis comic, Renatus: Of Vice and Virtue, was featured in the Flatiron Gallery at the School of Visual Arts and he's assisted as a background painter for the award winning film Enshrine by Dani Ha. A fan illustration was featured in IDW Publishing's Sonic the Hedgehog issue #3 under the name Shalgrove while an early fan comic was featured in Archie Comic's Sonic Universe issue #36
